INGREDIENTS:
125 g honey
125 g sugar
250 g flour
1 glass of scalded milk
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda (or 2 tps of baking powder)
mixed spices: star anis, cinnamon, cloves, coriander, grated orange zest.
RECIPE:
Melt slowly honey, sugar and the scalded milk.
Add flour, spices and the baking powder.
Mix well and pour into a rectangular pan lined with buttered parchment.
Bake in oven for 50/60 minutes 180°.
Variant : substiture sugar with the same quantity of honey. In this case the dough has to be put in the fridge for 1 hour circa before adding baking powder and spices.
